Full Review – Pit Boss 700SC Pellet Grill

Danson is the largest pellet grill manufacturer you have probably not hear of. They make a number of brands, including this small, inexpensive grill under the Pit Boss name. They manufacturer in both Canada and China. The Pit Boss 700SC, being one of the least expensive pellet grills they make, is produced in China.

The 700SC is designed as a competitor for the Traeger Lil Tex Pellet Grill that can be found in many stores and is one of the best selling in the industry. This Pit Boss is lightweight, has a simple pellet controller, and is relatively small though it’s two grates give this unit up to 700 square inches of cooking space. This is a big area in a small package.

The Pitt Boss does have direct grill space, though in a relative small area of the grill. This is a great addition and something you don’t find in many inexpensive pellet grills. The hopper has an 18 pound capacity and the unit will hold temperatures ranging between 180 and 500 degrees F.

For the price, this is a pretty good pellet grill. It isn’t heavy and doesn’t hold heat terribly well, but for the investment, it is perfect for those who are new to pellet grilling and don’t want to spend a lot.
